Should I Upgrade to a 9060XT 16GB from a 1660 Super?

I'm about to buy a 9060XT 16GB as an upgrade from my 1660 Super, and I'm wondering if there's any last-minute reason to change my mind. I'm not concerned about missing out on Nvidia's features. I'm happy with 1080p gameplay, and my most demanding tasks will be playing games like Warzone and Black Ops 7 while I stream. My current setup includes a Ryzen 7 3700X, an MS-7B86 motherboard, and 64GB of DDR4 RAM. I also want to know if it matters which brand of 9060XT I get, as I'm considering either the Sapphire Pulse or the Asus Dual.

I had the Sapphire Pulse and it performed superbly. No overheating issues, even though people warn against dual-fan cards.

I have a dual-fan 9060XT too, and it stays surprisingly cool! My old 2060 was way hotter.

I've been eyeing 3-fan models, but they're out of stock everywhere! I think the main advantage is slightly better cooling, so the dual-fan should be fine.

I've got a 9060XT and a 9070XT, and I can tell you that it's an awesome card for 1080p gaming. You'll definitely enjoy the upgrade!

That sounds great! Have you experienced any driver issues, though? I've read some mixed reviews that have me a bit worried.

It's definitely going to be a huge upgrade, but if you can consider a good 1440p monitor, it might be worth it too!

I'm really not that interested in 1440p – I currently play at around 80 fps on low settings. I feel like switching to the 9060XT will be such a big improvement for me.

No matter which card you pick, you'll see a significant upgrade. Some people swear by Nvidia's features, but don't let that pressure you into spending more money than necessary. A 1440p monitor is an affordable upgrade compared to the cost difference of switching to Nvidia.

Interesting point! I might look into a monitor upgrade later. I generally prefer a higher fps over visual quality, though. Right now, I’m aiming for around 144 fps on high settings, but I’m concerned about my CPU potentially bottlenecking.
