What Linux Distribution Is Easier to Install Than Arch?

I'm relatively new to Linux and I've had some experience with Ubuntu and Mint XFCE. Inspired by a Pewdiepie video, I attempted to install Arch but hit a snag when I forgot to install the GRUB bootloader. It became too frustrating, so I reverted back to Ubuntu. I'm keen to eventually learn how to install Arch properly, but I'd like to start with a more user-friendly distribution first. Are there any distros you recommend that might be easier to install and work with as I prepare to tackle Arch?

Manjaro is a fantastic option! It's kind of like Arch but set up to be more user-friendly. You get a lot of the same benefits, like accessing the AUR, without diving into the depths of a manual install. I've been using it, and it's definitely user-friendly.

Honestly, pretty much any distro besides Arch is easier to install, lol! If you want something that's still a bit hands-on but less complicated, try Debian. It has a solid community support and documentation, plus it’s really flexible. Stick to the basics while you continue learning about Linux!

Linux Mint is perfect for beginners! It's super easy to install, has a comfortable UI, and you can tweak it to your liking as you learn. Start there, and once you're more confident, you can circle back to Arch!

You might also want to give Pop!_OS a shot. It’s designed for ease of use and is based on Ubuntu, so you won’t feel completely lost. It’s great for newcomers and has a clean interface that really helps to simplify the experience.

If you're looking for something easier and still want to maintain a connection to Arch, check out CachyOS or EndeavourOS. They'll give you some hands-on experience with the package manager without all the complexity of a full Arch install.
