I'm looking to build a PC and have set aside $2500 for the project. I'm new to this and have been doing some research, but the prices I'm seeing are quite shocking! Given the current market, particularly the RAM prices, I would really appreciate any advice from experienced builders.
Here's what I've come up with so far for my build:
- GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
- CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 9800X 3D
- Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B650E-PLUS
- RAM: Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36
- SSD: Lexar NM790 1TB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe7400MB/s 6500MB/s
- Power Supply: TUF Gaming 850W Gold
- AIO: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO
- Case: Phanteks XT Pro Ultra ATX
I want to know if there are any parts I should change or upgrade to get better value and reliability. I'm also open to suggestions about the case. Thanks in advance for your help!

Looks really good! I say go for it and enjoy the process of building it. You’re gonna love it once it’s all set up!
I put together a similar build on PCPartPicker, and you might find some cheaper options there for certain parts. For example, you could consider a different SSD or even some other RAM that's still high-quality but less expensive. Just remember to check that everything fits well in your case before purchasing!
Overall, your build looks solid! You could save a bit by opting for an 850W power supply instead of a higher wattage, and keep an eye out for any deals or price drops. If you have access to a Microcenter, they often have good offers. Also, check out some sales channels for better deals on components. Just remember that prices have been a bit all over the place recently!
Thanks for the tips! Do you think I should consider upgrading to CL30 RAM instead? And how does my SSD choice look?

I recently got mine for around 290 pounds, so yeah, it's possible to get good deals out there!
