I'm on the hunt for a specific power supply cable for the RTX 3090 Founders Edition. I've come across many extension cables, but what I'm really looking for is a direct cable that connects from the PSU to the GPU without any splitters involved. I was planning to hold off on upgrading my GPU for a while, but given the circumstances, it seems I need to find this cable sooner rather than later. Any suggestions on where I might be able to purchase a proper cable for the 3090 would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, the RTX 3090 uses a non-standard cable that's not typically produced by PSU manufacturers. Nvidia standardized the connector for the newer RTX 40 series, but the 30 series cables are hard to find. You might have to look into custom solutions for this one.
You'll likely have to order a cable that’s custom-made. The RTX 3090's cable isn't the same as the standard 12VHPWR used on newer models, making them quite rare. I found this one online: [Custom Sleeved Cable for NVIDIA RTX 30 Series](https://www.moddiy.com/products/Custom-Sleeved-PCIE-Modular-Cable-for-NVIDIA-RTX-30-Series-Mini-12-Pin.html) that could work, just double-check compatibility before buying!
If you don’t find any luck with those, maybe try some PC mod shops in your area—they might have leads on where to get custom cables.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely give that a shot!
What power supply are you using? Not all cables are universal, so it's essential to make sure the PSU you have is compatible with whatever cable you end up getting.
I'm using an ASRock Sl850, so hopefully that helps in finding the right cable!
You should check out CableMod or ModDIY, but again, just make sure your PSU matches their cables. They offer some nice options, but custom orders might be what you need as the cables for the RTX 30 series are pretty unique.
I found a link to a custom sleeved cable but it's only for the 3090 Ti. Not sure if that's any good!

Ah, that's a bummer. Anything else I should know before I start looking for a custom cable?
