I'm considering whether upgrading to either a 9070 or 9070XT would make sense for my setup, especially with a new 1440P monitor. Currently, I have a Ryzen 7 5700G, 32GB DDR4 3600 RAM, a Gigabyte AE A520 motherboard, and a 700W EVGA BP710 PSU. My storage includes a 1TB Adata SU800 SSD and I'm using an RX 6650XT 8GB, paired with an outdated 1080P monitor that's failing. I'm hesitant to jump to an AM5 upgrade due to high RAM prices, but I'm worried the 6650XT won't perform well at 1440P. What do you think?

If your budget allows, go for the RX 9070 XT 16GB. Also, think about switching out the 5700G for a 5700X. At 1440P, you'll want all the bandwidth from your GPU for smooth performance.
I'm leaning towards the 9070XT and maybe a 12th gen Intel with DDR4 instead.
It really comes down to the games you play. Your 6650XT is comparable to a 1080 Ti, which used to handle 4K. For GPU-heavy games, the 9070 or 9070 XT would be a smart upgrade, particularly with your APU.
To be honest, I'm mostly playing older titles like GTA5, but I want to dive into more intense games like Cyberpunk and RDR. I also enjoy indie sim games, which are easy on my 6650XT, but I'm so ready to ditch 1080P!
It really depends on pricing, but given your current setup, I'd suggest going for the 9070. Alternatively, you might find a 9060 XT or a 5060 Ti and pair that with a better monitor instead of just a budget 1440P display.
I have a Seasonic Focus 850W PSU that I could swap in, so I'm good on power if I decide to upgrade.
Definitely get the new monitor first and see how your 6650XT performs before you make any other decisions.

Funny story, I had a similar setup that I just gave to a buddy—only difference was a 5800X and Asus TUF B550. I didn't notice much difference in performance, just more heat and noise.
