Why Does My PC Keep Crashing?

I'm having a problem where my PC randomly crashes and I can't seem to figure out the cause. It freezes up and then starts making a strange buzzing sound, forcing me to power it off using the plug. I recently applied a new layer of thermal paste to my GPU, but I couldn't clean off the old paste because it had dried up. Here are the specs I can share: I'm using an MSI AM4 MicroATX B550M PRO-VDH WIFI DDR4 Motherboard, 40 GB of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 5 5500, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Have you checked the temperatures? It sounds like overheating might be an issue if it's buzzing and freezing. That can happen if the GPU or CPU gets too hot. Keep an eye on those temps while your PC is running.

As long as your GPU temp is around 48 degrees Celsius, that's pretty good! But check other components too, like your CPU. Also, ensure that your PSU (power supply unit) is sufficient for your setup. If it struggles to provide enough power, it could lead to crashes.
