Why won’t my PC turn on after it randomly shut off?

I was using my PC when it suddenly shut off without warning, and now it won't turn on at all. There are no lights, no fan noises, and I don't hear any beeping when I hit the power button. I've already tried switching outlets and using a different power cable, but nothing has worked. The last thing I was doing was playing Minecraft. Is it possible that a fried motherboard could cause this issue?

Try this: turn off the power supply and unplug it, then hold the power button for about 10-20 seconds. Let it sit for a couple of hours. After that, plug everything back in and see what happens.

To get to the bottom of the issue, you could swap parts if you have a working computer. Start by reseating the RAM and checking the power connections.

It might have had a bad boot. Try unplugging the power cable, holding down the power button for about 30 seconds, then reconnect and see if it powers up this time.

Definitely check your PSU. If it’s dead, that might be the main culprit. A quick test could save you a lot of trouble.

I had a similar issue a while back. I took it in for a quick test and found out it was a PSU failure. You might want to consider checking your power supply first.
