I had a bit of a mishap today and spilled some water on my PC. I think most of it stayed above, and it didn't look very wet overall, but two drops did drip down the front. It was around 1.5 to 2 ounces at most, and fortunately, the PC was off at the time; I switched it off from the back. How serious is this situation, and what steps should I take now?

First and foremost, keep the PC off! Let it dry out completely before even thinking about turning it back on. It's the best way to prevent any further damage.
I had a similar scare once with coffee, and it shut down my PC a few minutes later due to liquid getting into the CPU fan. It’s super important to dry everything out. I managed to save the processor by disassembling it completely and drying it, but be careful! Just a single drop can cause problems.
Absolutely don't turn it on right now. Open the case, and dry off what you can see. I suggest pointing a fan at it for a day or two and moving it around every few hours to help it dry. Since it was just a little water, you should be okay. If you're up for it, disassembling everything could help it dry even better.
You should definitely open up the case and take a look inside. Check for any residual water on the motherboard or other internal components. It’s really important to ensure everything is dry. The outside is usually fine, though.
