I'm curious about the benefits of mechanical keyboards compared to regular ones. I've never used one before, but I've seen a lot of people using them and I'd like to know if they are genuinely worth the investment. If anyone out there has a mechanical keyboard that they love and feels it was worth the money, please share your recommendations. I'm not too worried about price; I just want to know what makes them stand out. Thanks, and have a great day!

Ducky keyboards are solid picks! I have a couple, one for work and another for home. They offer a lot of customization with switches, too, which is a huge plus. Just be ready for some stock issues with popular models, but they're worth the wait!

I own a Keychron Q6 Max with banana switches, and it's been fantastic. Keychron makes solid keyboards. Just remember, their models can go out of stock quickly, so if you find one you like, better jump on it! They have a good variety, so patience is key!

I recently switched to a split keyboard for better ergonomics. You can get ergonomic designs without mechanical switches, but a lot of people find mechanical options more comfortable. Ultimately, it seems to come down to the experience—you either love it or you don't. Definitely give them a try to see how you feel!

It's really about personal preference. Some people swear by mechanical keyboards because they enjoy the tactile feedback and sounds when typing. Surprisingly, it might not boost your productivity significantly, but it can feel like an upgrade, like wearing a comfy cashmere sweater instead of a regular one. If you can, try out different switches to see what feels best for you!

That makes sense! I'll definitely try a few different types before buying.

Absolutely! The feel of a good mechanical keyboard can be really satisfying, especially with tactile switches.

One of the great things about mechanical keyboards is that you can often swap out the switches, which can save you money in the long run if one fails. There's a ton of variety now, so definitely test out some in-store if you can. Each type of switch has a different feel, and what one person loves, another might not. My favorites are Ducky keyboards—they've lasted me years!
