I accidentally spilled some very salty instant ramen broth onto my GPU. The spill was brief, and I quickly unplugged everything when I realized what happened, but I'm worried about the damage. Most of my PC is dry, but a small part of the PCB above the display port got wet, affecting less than half of the area. Is it possible that I only ruined that port? I'm currently drying the GPU and have set up a dehumidifier. Should I take it to a repair shop to get it cleaned properly, or will it be okay after drying?

Chances are, you might be okay! Just to be safe, leave it to dry for about 48 hours before trying to power it on again. If it didn’t spread too much, the GPU could still work fine. Just keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for the encouragement! I feel a bit better now, just need to be patient.
