I'm facing a frustrating issue with my newly built gaming PC, which I completed in August. I've got a setup with a Ryzen 7800X3D processor, 32GB of DDR5 6000 RAM on an ASUS Gaming Wi-Fi motherboard, and I'm using a PNY 5070 Ti graphics card. My primary display is a Samsung G8 32" OLED, along with a KTC monitor and an LG OLED TV. Ever since I built this rig, I've been experiencing random black screens that last 1-2 seconds while I'm gaming, watching videos, or even browsing the web. This has happened multiple times, even while I was typing this message.
I've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including swapping out DisplayPort cables and testing HDMI. I've combed through forums for solutions and tried everything from changing BIOS settings to swapping out RAM and even contacting PNY customer service, but to no avail. PNY suggested that my 750W power supply might not be sufficient, recommending I upgrade to at least 1000W for better stability. However, upgrading isn't currently feasible for me financially. I'm at a loss and would appreciate any advice on what I can do next.

This could actually be a known issue with the Samsung G8 monitor. It's tied to the display stream compression (DSC) it uses to deliver 4K at 240Hz via DisplayPort 1.4. While HDMI offers more stability, it limits you to 4K at 120Hz. Unfortunately, it's not a GPU problem, but rather a quirk of the monitor itself.
Could you let us know the exact model of your power supply? Generally, a 750W PSU should handle the 5070 Ti, but quality matters too. Sometimes, the issue could still be related to the cables you're using; high-resolution monitors need solid signal integrity. I had a similar issue with my 4K monitor, and it turned out rerouting my DP cable helped. You might want to check if any cable is causing a weak connection, especially if it's supporting weight or in a tight spot.
My power supply is a CPS YN750. What are your thoughts on that?
Are you also experiencing this on the KTC monitor and LG TV? I've got a similar setup with a G8, and it usually goes black for a bit after waking up from sleep, but my other monitors don't have this problem. It might be linked to the smart features on the G8 monitor.
Yes, it happens no matter which monitors are connected.

That's interesting! I have the same issue with my KTC monitor and LG OLED as well.
