I'm putting together a new PC and I want to make sure I'm making a good investment that will hold up in the future. I'm not an expert in PC specs, so I'm looking for some honest opinions on my build. I'll be pairing it with a 1440p OLED monitor, possibly one with a super high refresh rate (up to 500Hz). Here's the build I'm considering:
- **Case:** CORSAIR 3500X ARGB TEMPERED GLASS MID-TOWER
- **Processor:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core CPU (up to 5.2GHz, 104MB with 3D V-CACHE, AM5)
- **Motherboard:** GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7)
- **Memory (RAM):** 64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (2 x 32GB)
- **Graphics Card:** 16GB ASUS TUF GEFORCE RTX 5080 OC (2 x HDMI, 3 x DP)
- **M.2 SSD Drive:** 2TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2, PCIe 4.0 NVMe (up to 7450MB/R, 6900MB/W)
- **Power Supply:** CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES ATX 3.1, MODULAR, CYBENETICS GOLD
- **Cooling:** Arctic Liquid Freezer III PRO 360 Black
I'd love some feedback on whether this build is worth it.

Hey! Just a heads up, the Ryzen 9 9850X3D is dropping soon, so you might want to compare it with the 9800X3D before finalizing your purchase. It could offer better performance, and the pricing might not be too far off either.
Just so you know, the WiFi 7 on your motherboard is the 160MHz version, but the later revisions might come with a less reliable Realtek chip. It's something to consider if you plan to rely on WiFi.
What alternative motherboards would you recommend? I initially wanted the Tomahawk but couldn’t get it.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check it out to see how it stacks up.
