I'm really struggling to install DaVinci Resolve on my Kubuntu 25.04 KDE desktop. I've attempted various methods, but I keep running into errors or I don't have the necessary installation packages. When I try to run the setup file, it gives me a message that says, 'Missing or outdated system packages detected. Please install the following missing packages: libapr1, libaprutil1, libasound2, libglib2.0-0.' I've installed all of these already, so I'm not sure what to do next. Can anyone guide me through this?

If you're still having trouble, maybe check out some video tutorials or guides. I found one on YouTube that explains the installation step-by-step. Just search for ‘DaVinci Resolve installation on Linux’—there are plenty of resources out there!
Also, just a side note—always make sure you mention your distribution and hardware details when asking for technical help. It helps people assist you better. And if you haven't tried already, possibly check your FUSE setup. If it's not configured correctly, that might be causing some installation issues. Good luck!
It sounds like you've hit a frustrating roadblock! One solution that worked for someone else was to create a new folder in the DaVinci Resolve directory named 'disable libraries' and move any missing library files into that folder. This way, Resolve might skip the checks for those packages when you try to run it again. Give that a shot!
I get how frustrating this can be! But when you say you've installed the required packages, could it be that they're outdated? Try updating your system first and see if that clears up the issue. Let us know how it goes!
I hadn't thought about that! I'll update everything and give it another try.
Thanks for the tip! I'll look into the FUSE setup to see if that's causing the problem.
