I know this sounds a bit silly, but I'm not too tech-savvy. I'm worried that my controlling parent might be secretly recording my phone conversations. They had access to my unlocked phone for a month and jokingly mentioned they would do that. I can't figure out how they could record without some sort of visible app, but if there's any way they could do it without me knowing, I'd like to find out. How can I check if I'm being recorded? Thanks a lot! <3

To check for hidden recordings, you can enable Developer Mode on your Android. Go to 'About Phone' in settings, and unlock the Developer options. There, you can activate USB debugging, which will help you list all the apps installed on your phone. If anything seems off, that’s a red flag. Just be careful when uninstalling anything you don’t recognize!
Have you checked for apps like AnyViewer or remote screen sharing tools? Those could give them access without you knowing.
Yeah, unfortunately, it's totally possible for someone to discreetly record your phone. There are apps and services designed for that, so it's good you're being cautious.
Are you still living with them? If so, it might be worth looking over your phone to see if anything looks suspicious. If they pay for the phone, they could potentially access it more easily.
