I'm helping a friend build a gaming PC, but they're currently facing high RAM prices. I have a 32GB stick of DDR5 6000MHz RAM and I'm considering lending it to him until he can get a dual-channel kit. I want to know if it's better to choose the Ryzen 5 7500X3D or the Ryzen 5 7500F since the system will be running with just one stick of RAM. I'll be using an RX 9060 XT GPU as well—does that affect the decision?

The X3D is easily the better choice, even if you plan to use two, three, or four sticks later on. While one stick is okay temporarily, the 7500X3D will handle the load better in games. It's a solid option until you can upgrade.
Definitely go with the 7500X3D! It outperforms the 7500F in almost every gaming scenario, especially with single-channel memory problems. The larger cache really helps.

Yeah, having an even number of sticks (2 or 4) is usually better, but you’ll notice improvement with the X3D even in single-channel mode.
