Has anyone compared the log search capabilities of Splunk and New Relic? If so, could you share some insights? I'm also interested in the cost differences between these tools. Additionally, I'd like to know if your company was satisfied with the tool you ultimately chose.

I heard Datadog does log analysis as well. Are you enjoying using it?
We went with a combination of Datadog for cloud and an ELK stack for our self-hosted needs. We tried out Splunk but found that New Relic didn't hold up against the other two tools.
New Relic is struggling lately. From my experience, Splunk is a solid choice, but it's quite complex and requires a dedicated team to manage it effectively. If you just need to search logs and don't mind spending a bit more money, Splunk is great—but be prepared for some challenges, especially with their cloud version. Datadog is worth considering too, even though it's on the pricier side.
