I currently have just one PCIe cable that splits into two 8-pin connectors at the end. I'm planning to use it for my 7800 XT until my two separate 8-pin PCIe cables arrive in a few days. Is this setup okay for now? Also, I should mention that I'm vertically mounting the GPU with a riser cable. Thanks for any advice!

It's important to check the exact model of your power supply. What do you have? Some split cables may not provide enough power for high-demand GPUs like the 7800 XT.
Make sure the cables you've ordered are compatible with your PSU. Not all splitters are safe for high-wattage GPUs, so double-check before plugging them in!
Be cautious with that Y cable. If you’re trying to connect two 8-pins to the GPU and only have a single connector from the PSU, that’s definitely a power issue. The GPU needs more than what a single PCIe connector can provide.
