I'm in the market for a new desktop and laptop since my current ones are getting pretty outdated. For the desktop, I have a budget of $1500 and I'm open to either buying a new one or building it myself. The laptop budget is under $1000. I typically run EndeavourOS (Arch) with KDE Plasma, so any suggestions that are compatible with that would be great. Thanks in advance for your advice!

If you're looking for a solid laptop, I just got a renewed Thinkpad E15 Gen 3 with a Ryzen 5 for under $300, and it's been fantastic! Thinkpads generally work really well with Linux, so you might want to check them out. For the desktop, I've been using a Beelink mini-PC, which has great performance for the price.
That's a great deal on the Thinkpad! I got a Thinkcentre Tiny m75q for $155 on eBay; it runs great!
Don’t shy away from second-hand options! I picked up a Legion 5 laptop with a 10750H CPU and 1660Ti GPU for around $1000 CAD a couple of years back. It’s been excellent for everything—just check the specific specs instead of sticking to a brand. You can find some decent PCs from manufacturers that cater to Linux users as well.
Nice! I've been thinking about getting a mini-PC too. I'll definitely look into Beelink.
