Help! My PC Won’t Boot Properly During Finals

Hey everyone, I'm really in a bind here and could use some help. I bought a new CPU from Shopee about a year or two ago, but it started acting up a few months back, and I don't know what to do about it. It's that time of year with finals coming up, and I really need my PC for my studies!

I've tried searching online for fixes and managed to get it working temporarily, but the problem keeps coming back. I'm at home right now, and everything I need to fix it is at my boarding house in the city, so I can't test anything for now. I'm open to suggestions, even if it means losing everything on it—there's not much important data on there anyway. Plus, my dad isn't being very helpful, so I'm turning to the community! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your computer is stuck in the BIOS menu, which can be frustrating. If you can, try to provide a screenshot or video of what happens when you boot it up, especially from the BIOS menu. That will help us diagnose what’s going wrong. Meanwhile, make sure you check the boot order in the BIOS settings; sometimes it might be looking at a drive that doesn’t have your OS installed.

I can’t test it right now since I’m at home, but I remember I did something similar before that helped. I think I went into the boot menu and reset something, which worked for a bit. But then the issue returned. I’ll try to get a video when I’m back!

You might want to try booting it while pressing F8 or another function key to see if you can access safe mode or recovery options. If you keep getting that blue screen, it might be worth recording the boot process too. It could give us clues about what’s going wrong. Keep us posted once you’re back at your place!

Thanks! I’ll definitely try that when I get back. I just need to find a way to get past that initial screen.

If you notice that the issue happens after you’ve made changes in the BIOS, that might be the root of your problem. If you’re unsure what some settings do, don’t hesitate to ask! Having those screenshots or a short video when you’re back will help a lot too, just to see what the screen looks like when it fails.
