Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue on my iPhone (running iOS 14.8.1). I tried offloading the Instagram app, and now it shows up with a white grid icon. I can't open it, and it's not listed in my "iPhone Storage" under settings. When I go to my home screen and delete it, it disappears temporarily. However, when I check the App Store, it shows "Open" instead of "Install." Every time I restart my phone, the app reappears on my home screen with that same grid icon and I still can't access it. Can someone help me figure out how to get rid of this app completely? I want to reinstall it for use again. Thanks!

Maybe your iPhone could run a newer iOS version? Check to see if there's an update available. Sometimes, running outdated software can cause weird glitches like this. Could be worth trying!
Have you tried just restarting your phone? I know it sounds basic, but sometimes it resolves glitches. But I see you mentioned it in your post that it didn’t fix the issue—that’s too bad!
It sounds like you've offloaded the app, but it's still somehow stuck on your home screen. Have you tried going to Settings > iPhone Storage? Normally, you can swipe left on the app there to delete it completely. If it's not showing up, that could be a glitch.
I mentioned in my post that it’s not listed in my "iPhone Storage." That's why I'm confused!

Yeah, I already tried that. It's still coming back every time I restart.
