I'm working on deshrouding my GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2080 (WindForce OC) GPU because the stock fans are worn out. I accidentally damaged them by blowing air on them too hard while cleaning. I'm planning to swap them for two Arctic P12 (120mm) fans, but I'm not sure about the cable setup. I've heard that I can connect the new fans to a motherboard header and control them via Fan Control. Alternatively, I could plug them directly into the GPU's headers to use the existing fan curve. What specific cables or adapters would I need for this?

You can actually grab stock fans pretty cheap—around $15-$20 for a full set on AliExpress. If you want to use the GPU headers for the new 4-pin case fans, check out the Gelid CA-PWM-02 adapter. It's a solid choice!
I get that! If you connect to the GPU header, the new fans might draw more power depending on their specs, so you should check the ratings to be safe.

I'm strapped for cash and can only order from Amazon since I have gift credits. Are those replacement stock fans you're recommending any larger than the ones that came with my card?
