Hey everyone! I built my first PC back in the mid-2010s, and it's been great, but now most parts are starting to age, especially my graphics card, which is failing. This means I'll have to upgrade my motherboard and CPU too. I don't use my computer as much as I used to; I mostly play The Sims 4 with mods and some retro games like Warcraft. I'm looking for budget-friendly options since I just want a smoother gaming experience, particularly for The Sims. Here are my current specs: **Motherboard:** ASUS Maximus VI Hero **RAM:** Kingston HyperX Beast x4 (24GB) **CPU:** Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3.40GHz **Graphics:** NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (2 GB). I've been considering the ASUS TUF GAMING Z890-PLUS WiFi motherboard and the Acer Arc B580 NITRO graphics card with 12GB GDDR6 RAM. Any thoughts on this setup?

You're heading in the right direction! Just a heads-up, if you're not yet on the SSD bandwagon, you really should be—it's a game changer these days!
Check out this PC part list I made for you! Going LGA 1700 is smart since you can keep your DDR4. Also, I know the Acer Arc B580 sounds good, but I'd recommend the 9060 XT instead. It's more powerful overall, and at $310, it’s a much better deal compared to the B580 at $450.
I'm so behind! Just realized I'm still on DDR3 RAM and 2GB VRAM. No wonder my games have been lagging!
If you're trying to save money while still getting a solid performance upgrade, consider going for an LGA1700 or AM4 setup with DDR4 memory. DDR4 is cheaper right now, and while you may miss out on some performance, you're not really aiming for the latest hardware anyway. Also, the future-proofing isn't as great with LGA1851, so LGA1700 might be a better option for your needs.
I appreciate that! I'll definitely look into LGA1700 boards since saving cash is my priority right now.

Good news! I’m already running everything on SSDs except for one storage drive.
