Why Does My iPhone Automatically Log Me Back Into Deleted Apps?

I've noticed that when I delete an app like Netflix from my iPhone (on iOS 26) and then reinstall it, I'm automatically logged back in. I thought deleting an app would remove all its data. I've checked the 'Keep Passwords' setting, and it's turned off, but I still can't figure out what's causing this. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

That’s really annoying! It might be due to some data being stored in your iCloud or Keychain, which can help apps remember your login information. You could try going into your iCloud settings and managing the backups to see if there's anything stored there.

Yeah, definitely check the iCloud backup settings. Also, make sure you log out of Netflix before you delete it, just to be safe!

If you want to prevent this, consider clearing the app data before deleting it. You can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, find the app, and select 'Delete App'. Then, reinstall it after clearing that data. It should prompt you for your login details again.

Good idea! Just be mindful that sometimes you might lose other saved preferences that way.
