I just built a PC with a 9600X CPU on a B850 motherboard, using CL30 6000MHz RAM. When I turn on EXPO, I see two profiles to choose from: Profile 1 offers 6000MHz with timings of 30-36-36 at 1.400V, while Profile 2 is set at 5600MHz with timings of 40-40-40 at 1.240V. I'm a bit confused about what these numbers mean! I've heard that running 6000MHz can be unstable with the 9600X, but Profile 2 uses higher timings which I'm also not sure about. Should I stick with Profile 2, or would it be better to use Profile 1 and manually set the speed to 5600MHz, resulting in 5600MHz with 30-36-36 timings and 1.400V?

I recommend using Profile 1 with 6000MHz. Most Ryzen 9000 series CPUs handle that speed just fine, and if it happens to be unstable, you can always drop the speed later. Generally, you'd need to go above 6000MHz to really encounter issues.
The numbers in the RAM profiles are called timings. They stand for CAS Latency (CL), tRCD, and tRP. Basically, these numbers indicate how long it takes for your memory to process data in cycles. The higher the MHz, the faster these cycles are. If you're considering running 6000MHz, just keep in mind that it might lead to instability sometimes, but you won’t break anything. You can always reset your BIOS if it doesn't work. I’d say give 6000MHz a shot and see how your system handles it!
6000MHz is perfectly doable for any Ryzen 9xxx setup. Go ahead and try it out!

Thanks for breaking it down! I’ll definitely try the 6000MHz setting and see if it works.
