What’s the Best All-in-One IT Tool for Helpdesk and Endpoint Management?

Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for the best all-in-one IT tool that offers great value for money—preferably not free, but I'm open to it if necessary. I need a solution that can:

- Manage helpdesk ticketing systems
- Keep track of inventory, including monitors, docks, laptops, tablets, and desktops, and allow me to assign these items to users.
- Provide real-time endpoint management and security. I'd like to monitor what users are doing on their machines and collect system metrics, potentially using an agent or SNMP.

Extras I'm looking for include:
- The capability to deploy any agents through Active Directory using Group Policy or automatic discovery.
- Some level of automation for certain tasks would be a bonus.

Currently, we're using GLPI for helpdesk and inventory management, but we're missing a tool for real-time endpoint management. I'm testing Pulseway and would love to hear feedback from anyone who uses it. I'm aware that Pulseway can only manage endpoints that have an IP address, and I might need to use ITGlue to track other items like monitors. Ideally, I'd prefer to stick with a single tool rather than juggling multiple separate features or tools.

If you have any suggestions for tools that fit this description, I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks for reading and your help, have a great day!

Honestly, finding an all-in-one tool that does everything perfectly is tough. A lot of IT pros use great service desks like GLPI or Jira for the helpdesk aspect while incorporating dedicated endpoint management solutions like Pulseway. You might end up needing a mixture rather than a single tool.

It's tricky to find a tool that does it all. I've heard mixed reviews about combining endpoints under one management system. You really should explore the right tool for each task; a specialized tool may provide better results than trying to cram everything into one software.

You might want to consider sticking with GLPI for helpdesk and asset management, as it’s quite powerful. But for real-time endpoint management, I agree using specialized tools like Pulseway is the way to go. You're right about not forcing everything into one platform; it often leads to compromises. What you could do is layer those specialized tools around your main system to automate processes and ensure you're getting the best of both worlds.
