I'm currently using a Scythe Fuma 2 cooler that worked well with my previous i5-12600k. The temperatures seem fine most of the time, but during demanding games or when I'm aiming for higher fps, I see temps spiking between 80 to 90 degrees, or sometimes even higher. Is this normal for the i7-14700k? I've heard constant high temperatures can lead to CPU bending over time. Should I consider getting a new cooler, and if so, which one would you recommend?

The i7-14700k tends to run hot, and hitting 80-90 degrees can be normal during intense tasks. Just double-check that your motherboard’s BIOS is updated to apply Intel’s default settings, which can help avoid over-voltage issues.
Those temps are within a safe operating range! Anything over 100 degrees is concerning, but you're well below that, so you should be fine with your current setup.
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin is a solid air cooler that many recommend. It does a great job at keeping things cool and should handle the i7-14700k well!
I've seen a massive dual-tower cooler that performs exceptionally well, but it's really huge! Just be aware of your case size if you opt for something like that.
It’s pretty normal for the i7-14700k. I wouldn't worry about getting a new cooler since the Scythe Fuma 2 is already a good option. Just ensure your BIOS is updated since there have been updates that fix some common issues with this CPU.

Got the latest update! Thanks for the heads-up.
