Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC without breaking the bank. I'd love to run most games at 240+ FPS. Here are my current specs: Intel Core i7-8700, Asus GTX 1080 GPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Asrock B360M IB-R motherboard, a 2TB hard drive, and a 240GB SSD. My PC runs well with no issues, I just want something faster and more up to date!

Thanks for the insights! Just to clarify, I'm mainly into games like COD, Fortnite, GTA, Valorant, and CS:GO. I want the best upgrade possible for around $750.

The definition of 'budget-friendly' can vary a lot. To seriously boost your performance to 240 FPS across most games, you're likely looking at needing a new CPU, motherboard, GPU, and SSD. Realistically, this upgrade could set you back anywhere from $500 to $1,000.

Hitting 240 FPS in most games at 1080p is a tall order—only the really high-end GPUs like the 5090 can consistently hit that mark. If you're targeting games like Fortnite or Valorant, you might find cheaper GPUs that can deliver around that frame rate. But with a budget of $750, it might be tricky to push for 240 FPS in most titles. Consider what games you play most!
