I'm really interested in learning how to build PCs but I'm on a tight budget. Are there any free apps or resources that provide a sandbox environment for practicing PC building?

There's actually a game called PC Building Simulator that's available. It simulates the whole process, but most people tend to learn just by watching videos rather than relying solely on simulators.
I haven't come across any consistently free simulators, but I did get PC Building Simulator 2 for free when it was available on the Epic Games Launcher. Still, I'd say watching tutorial videos is a great way to get started.
Honestly, assembling a PC is pretty straightforward! You just have to plug the parts together, and there are tons of YouTube videos out there that can guide you through it. Just make sure you follow along with someone who's done it before.
Building a PC is largely about being careful and organized. If you take your time and maybe even get a friend or family member to assist you, it can be really easy! I've managed to help with builds even without great coordination.
