I'm looking to upgrade some parts of my PC and would love your insights! Here are my specs:

- CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F @ 2.90GHz
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
- GPU: GeForce RTX 3060
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime H510M-K

I've noticed that when playing modded Skyrim, I'm hitting a bottleneck in video memory. I'm thinking about getting a new GPU, possibly the 5060, or maybe upgrading my RAM. What do you all think?

You should definitely consider the 9060 XT; it's a solid GPU and often cheaper than the 5060. Just make sure you go for the 16GB version to boost your performance in games like Skyrim!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm open to the 9060 XT, but I'm really looking to get the benefits of Nvidia's infrastructure, even if it costs a bit more.

Just a heads up, the 5060 actually has less video memory than your current 3060—8GB vs. 12GB. You might want to look into something like the 9060 XT with 16GB or maybe the 5060 Ti, which also has a 16GB option. That would give you a better upgrade for VRAM!

So, your main issue seems to be VRAM, which is on the GPU. Don't confuse it with RAM, which is the system memory for the CPU. Since you're facing VRAM limitations, swapping to a 5060 would be a downgrade due to its lower memory. Stick with what you have or get a card with more VRAM!
