I recently bought a Ryzen 7 5700X along with a GTX 1660 Ti and am currently using a stock cooler from my previous Ryzen 5 5500 as a temporary solution. I only plan to play a few games like CS2, FIFA, and maybe GTA 6 when it releases. However, I've noticed that after about 10-15 minutes of playing CS2, my computer starts to lag, and the game crashes. Additionally, my internet connection seems to drop as if my cable has been unplugged, which never happened with my old setup. Could the stock cooler be causing these issues? The technician who set everything up reassured me it would be fine, but a store employee suggested I should buy a new cooler, probably for a sale. What do you think?

You should really check your CPU temperatures while gaming. If they're hitting 80-90 degrees Celsius, that's way too high and could lead to performance issues. The stock cooler from the Ryzen 5 5500 isn't ideal for the 5700X, so upgrading to a better cooler is a smart move, even if the current issues may not be directly related to it.
Actually, the stock cooler doesn’t come with the 5700X; it should have a better cooler included. It sounds like you definitely need to upgrade. One option is the Thermalright Burst Assassin 120, which is a nice budget cooler. But if your temperatures are really high, that's a concern regardless, and you should address it soon!
