I'm on the hunt for a good camera for our conference room. We recently bought the Poly R30, but we were super disappointed with the video quality—so much so that we're sending it back after just one use. I'm hoping to stay around the $1,000 mark, but quality is the most important factor for us. I did look into the Owl camera, but I'm struggling to figure out how to manage the wires back to the TV without making it look messy. I'd love to hear any suggestions you all might have! Also, here's a [picture of our conference room](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J8WcFU5ktoP_0WFc_bY5AXqGPnSq3rn7/view?usp=sharing) for reference.

I've had solid experiences with the Owl for call participation, but you might find the video quality isn't stellar beyond 6 ft. If you're looking for something that offers better quality, I'd steer clear and look at the Aver cameras which strike a good balance between quality and cost.
While a premium option, consider a full Teams room setup. They can be quite pricey, often exceeding $12,000, but many users swear by the reliability and support. Worth saving up for if you can swing it!
If video quality is your top concern, I'd recommend checking out the Logitech RallyBar or the RallyPlus. They provide great video quality but might be just above your budget at around $2,200. The Owls can be hit or miss; some of my colleagues have found them unreliable, especially in rooms with a lot of wireless interference.
Have you checked out the Jabra Panacast? It’s a solid choice for a budget camera, offering 180-degree face tracking. There's also the Aver Cam520 Pro3, which has great video quality for the price and offers remote PTZ tracking—definitely worth considering.
Logitech's Rally series is well-rated for ease of use. For your budget, maybe consider a simple USB webcam setup combined with a good Bluetooth speaker/mic. Just make sure to think about cable management to keep everything neat!

I get that it's expensive—especially for smaller companies. Just keep it in your back pocket for future upgrades!
