I've been having a frustrating issue with my PC where it shuts off seemingly at random. It sometimes won't turn on when I press the power button, even though my motherboard is getting power. After pressing the button multiple times, it might eventually turn on, but then it shuts off shortly after, even while I'm just watching videos or gaming. When it shuts off, it won't respond right away, but after a few seconds, the fans start up and the LEDs light up, only to shut off again very quickly. If I leave it for a while, it seems to power up normally. I've replaced my PSU with a more powerful one, and while it sometimes seems to work, the random shutdown still occurs. It's really hard to diagnose because it's so inconsistent. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

This might be due to a periodic hardware malfunction. Make sure your CPU cooler is installed properly and check the temperatures of your CPU. Try removing and reseating the RAM too. Since you've already ruled out the PSU, look into potential issues with the motherboard VRM, a faulty power button, or even a bad front panel cable.
Yeah, something is definitely overheating. Make sure to clean out your heatsink and check if the CPU fan is working well. If everything looks good, consider reapplying thermal paste or even replacing the cooler if it’s old. Issues like this often stem from heat buildup.
I dealt with something similar years ago. I found a cable that was blocking the CPU fan from spinning. I'm not saying that's your situation, but overheating issues are usually tied to the CPU. Make sure the heatsink and fan are clear and consider replacing the thermal paste as well.
That's a strange situation. It could be many things. Monitoring your temperatures is definitely a good idea. Does the shutdown happen when the computer is really working hard, or does it just occur randomly? Sometimes it might handle gaming for a while without a problem.
Sounds like overheating could definitely be the culprit, especially if it happens when your PC is under load. Check that all your fans are running and use software to monitor your temperatures. There are plenty of free programs that can help with that!
