Issues with Transferring Videos from iPhone 17 to PC

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 13 to an iPhone 17, and now I'm facing some serious issues trying to transfer videos and a lot of downloads to my PCs and external hard drives. I've tried multiple cables and different computers running various versions of Windows. I've set my video transfer settings to 'most compatible' and also tried keeping original formats. In the past, I could just access my DCIM folders and easily transfer files. However, now the videos won't play on Windows Media Player or even in my old CS6 software. They don't show thumbnails and I keep getting a generic error saying 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file' or that the player might not support the file type. I really need some help with this!
