I'm having a frustrating issue with my X99-E motherboard. It won't fully turn on; the power supply unit (PSU) clicks every two seconds and the fans only spin for a split second. This looping behavior happens every time I try to power it up. I've ruled out the PSU as the problem since I've tested it with different units, and the CPU seems to be fine too. A friend advised me to disconnect the CPU connector and try powering it on with just the 24-pin connected, but it still didn't work at all. Any thoughts on what could be going wrong?

Have you checked how many beeps are happening, if any? Can you even get to the BIOS? Sometimes, those annoying pin ribbons can cause issues with power signals, so it might help to double-check that too.
It sounds like the problem could be with the coil near the 6-pin power connector; if it's loose, it won't hold the charge. You might want to post a picture of the motherboard here to get more specific advice. Also, €90 for a repair seems pretty steep unless they guarantee it will be 100% functional afterward.
