Why Isn’t My USB Drive Working Anymore?

I've been using a USB drive to install various Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Mint with Balena Etcher, but now it's not being recognized in the BIOS. I'm getting error messages like "Failed to open EFIBOOTmmx64.efi - not found" and others indicating something has gone wrong. I even tried using Rufus, but that didn't work either. I'm starting to think I might have damaged the drive after repeated use. Before I buy a new one, is there any way to fix it?

You might want to try using your operating system’s disk utility to delete all the partitions on the USB drive completely. After that, give Balena Etcher another shot. I've faced similar problems while jumping between different distributions, and that usually clears it up.

I actually have multiple computers, so I've got a few to test with. I did try formatting the drive but the same issue popped up.
