I recently updated my iPhone 12 Pro to iOS 26 last Sunday, and it was working fine until Thursday. After a day of normal use, my screen suddenly became unresponsive right when I needed to text a friend. The phone turned on and responded to button functions like volume and Siri, but I couldn't interact with the screen at all. I tried a force restart, which only required me to enter my password for login. That meant I couldn't use Siri or Face ID to check notifications. While on the bus, about 90 minutes later, the screen started working again. I went to bed thinking everything was okay, but Friday morning brought the unresponsiveness again, lasting anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. I mostly managed through the day with Siri's help until around 5 PM when it stopped working and stayed that way all night. It only became usable Saturday morning for about an hour and has been unresponsive again. I'm really confused and don't know what to do next. I've restarted the phone several times, but I'm about to download iTunes since I've read that a complete reboot might solve this, though it's a little nerve-wracking to consider. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the battery health? Sometimes if the battery isn't doing well, it can lead to weird screen issues like this. It could be worth a look!

I haven't seen it dip below 50-60% during all this, so I don't think that's the problem.
