Best Gaming PC Build Under $2000 for Fortnite

I'm looking to get a new gaming PC quickly, ideally for under $2000. I'm primarily playing Fortnite and really want it to run at least 120 FPS—more would be awesome! My current setup has a controller, and I'm not enjoying it at all, so a solid PC is a must. I'm considering either building my own or buying a pre-built one. What are the best CPU and GPU recommendations I should aim for to stay within this budget? I also dabble in Arc Raiders occasionally, but my focus is really just on gaming. I already have a Mac for anything else I need.

You have a good selection of options for your budget. If you can find a deal, a Microcenter visit might save you some cash. But you could also grab this nice combo from Newegg: a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, decent cooling, and other solid components totaling just under $2000. It’s a well-priced build for gaming. What exactly is a Microcenter? Is it like a store where I can get parts?

A GTX 1080 should definitely get you to that 120 FPS mark in Fortnite. Just remember, the CPU is crucial too! I recommend the Ryzen 7600X3D, paired with 32GB of DDR5 RAM. For the GPU, you could choose between the RX 9060XT or the RTX 5070 if you want to go a bit fancier. That setup should keep you running smoothly!
