I'm considering the ASUS RTX 5070 graphics cards and can get both the Dual (2-fan) and Prime (3-fan) versions for the same price. My concern is that the 3-fan Prime might suffer from GPU sag issues over time, making the Dual seem like a safer option. Do I really need the additional cooling of the 3-fan version, or is the Dual sufficient? Also, how noisy is the Dual version compared to the Prime? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

If they're the same price, go for the 3-fan option as long as it fits in your case. Better performance is always a plus!
For me, the Dual version is adequate for the 5070. The Prime might be overkill, as the 5070 can run cool enough that the fans won't even spin up during idle. Plus, if you're wary of sag, the Dual is a safer bet, but just know it may be a bit louder.
If it were me, I'd stick with the Dual since I prefer compact cases. It's more than enough for the 5070, and it can handle the heat just fine. Also, it might be noisier than the Prime, but I think it's a fair trade-off.
Yeah, sag risk exists with all GPUs, but avoid those cheap cases that can't support them. For a dual slot like the 5070, just secure it with two screws at the rear and you should be good. The cooling from both models is quite similar since the fan sizes are close, but the Prime will run cooler and quieter overall.
I'd recommend going with the 3-fan version for better cooling. Plus, if you're worried about GPU sag, you can always buy an anti-sag bracket. Better safe than sorry!
Sagging isn't really a problem if you have a decent case. Besides, if you ever plan to upgrade to something heavier, you wouldn't skip on a heavier GPU just because of sag! Get the 3-fan, it's gonna cool better.
But realistically, is there a sag issue with the 5070 since it's lighter than heavier cards like the 5090?

Totally! And the 3-fan model tends to be quieter, which is a big win.
