I'm currently building a new PC and I'm planning to install two M.2 drives. However, my motherboard has four M.2 slots, and the two slots that are the fastest will be covered by my GPU. Because of this, I can't install my operating system on one of the drives before starting the Windows installation process. Additionally, one of the drives contains backed-up files from my old computer, so it won't show its full capacity during installation. Will I be able to clearly identify which drive is which during the Windows 11 installation?

You should have enough space under your GPU to install the drives. It’s a good idea to check the motherboard manual for the best slot recommendations. When you install Windows, you'll see an option to choose which drive to use, so just make sure to select the one that doesn’t have your backup files.

Exactly! If you're really worried about picking the wrong drive, consider doing a clean install with just one M.2 drive connected. You can always add the other one later. It might be safer, especially if your backup files are important.
