Asked By TechJunkie42 On

I've got a solid background in cloud computing and have already earned a few certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500). Now, I'm looking to enhance my skill set by adding one more area to increase my chances of landing my first job. What combination of skills would be the most advantageous for entry-level positions? Here are some options I'm considering:

- Cloud + AI/ML
- Cloud + Data Science
- Cloud + DevOps
- Cloud + Web Development & DSA

Which of these pairs are in higher demand for freshers, or is there a more effective combination I should look into? Thanks for your help!

It’s important to choose roles based on what you actually want to do. Consider if you lean towards development or data roles; then choose your skills accordingly. Typically, junior cloud and DevOps roles are harder to find.

I think a lot of people chase quick cash without thinking about their interests. It leads to bootcamps and skills that don’t really fit them.

Exactly! The college system isn’t great for practical skills, so self-learning is key if you have the time.

For entry-level positions, I’d rank the skills in this order:
1. AI/ML
2. DevOps
3. Data Science
4. Web Development

That should give you a solid start, but remember, the market changes!

Don’t overthink it with fancy terms; focus on these essentials to build your foundation:
1. *Nix internals
2. Networking basics
3. Comfort with programming

Master those, and you’ll be set for a long time.

Honestly, you need to get some hands-on experience first. Most employers won’t consider candidates with no practical background.

Cloud + DevOps is a great combo! It’s highly in demand right now and offers skills you can showcase in real projects.
