I'm experiencing persistent shutdowns on my PC due to a "whea" error. This issue seems to come and go, but I've noticed that cleaning my RAM sticks temporarily resolves it. Each time my PC turns off, there are also four beeps, which makes me wonder if it's hardware-related. I'm looking for advice on how to make this issue less frequent or prevent it altogether.

It sounds like a hardware problem. Did you recently change any components? One thing you could try is replacing the RAM backup battery on your motherboard. Also, ensure you clean the RAM contacts with a pencil eraser and make sure the slots are free of dust before putting them back in.
Have you tested your RAM by using just one stick at a time? If possible, borrow a known working stick for a test. It can help identify if one of your sticks is faulty.
Let me know how it goes! Sometimes just cleaning the contacts can make a huge difference.
Glad to hear you've been cleaning the contacts! It's a good temporary fix, but if it starts failing again after a month, you might want to invest in new RAM sticks when prices are better. It could save you a lot of trouble in the long run.

I haven't tried that, but I can borrow a good stick.
