I recently cloned a hard drive that's been acting up, and now I'm trying to replace it. But when I opened my Alienware R7 case, I couldn't find the hard drive anywhere! All the bays look empty, and I've checked guides online that show the hard drive located on the right side or bottom, but there's nothing there. Can someone help me figure out where to look?

The hard drive you're looking for is likely an NVMe SSD located at the bottom right corner of your motherboard.
You'll need to remove the GPU to see it; it's at the bottom right of the motherboard. It should be an M.2 drive, and you can spot the top of it along with the mounting screw peeking out next to the GPU.
Yep! Once the GPU is out, you'll find the SSD secured by a single screw. Just take that out, and it will pop up a bit so you can slide it out easily.
That’s one of the more unusual cases I’ve heard about for data recovery! Just make sure to check thoroughly after you remove the GPU.

Thanks for the tip! Do I just pull the SSD out once I remove the GPU?
