Looking for Cost-Effective Tips to Switch from Intel to AMD

I'm currently looking to switch from Intel to AMD but want to ensure it's a smart choice financially. Here's my current setup: a ROG Strix B660-I motherboard paired with an i5-12600K processor, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM, and two 1TB WD Black NVMe SSDs. My video card is a ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, which I'm still satisfied with for now. I have a compact Mini-ITX case and power supply that I plan to keep. After about two years with this configuration, I feel it's time for an upgrade that won't break the bank—ideally under $1000 CAD. Any recommendations for a solid motherboard and processor combo to get the best value?

Honestly, the i5-12600K is still a great processor and can definitely handle a more powerful GPU if you're looking to upgrade. If your main goal is gaming, a GPU upgrade might be a better route than switching to AMD right now. Have you thought about that? It could give you a noticeable bump in performance!

You make a good point. Maybe I should look into upgrading my GPU instead. Which card do you think would give me the most bang for my buck?
