What’s the best cable to get 4K 120Hz with VRR from 9070XT to LG TV?

I'm looking for a cable that lets me use my 9070XT graphics card to output 4K at 120Hz with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to my LG TV. I'm using Bazzite as my operating system since I opted for it over Windows when buying a prebuilt. I found it frustrating that AMD can't support 4K120 with VRR due to HDMI Forum restrictions. I'm not interested in switching to Windows, so I'm hoping there are some reliable workarounds or solutions out there.

For some extra tips, you might want to check out the migration page on Linux forums for more details about setup options. Sometimes users have great insights on similar issues! Just be careful with third-party repos and always verify your ISO checksums when downloading.

Honestly, I haven’t come across a reliable DP to HDMI cable that supports VRR yet. I’ve seen ad specs that promise it, but in practice, they’ve been a letdown. It would be awesome if someone finds one that works!

Adapters could potentially work if they bridge HDMI and DisplayPort, but I haven't had much success with finding one that supports VRR. I've tried a few active adapters that claimed VRR capability but they just didn’t deliver. If anyone finds a reliable option, I'm all ears!

You should definitely look into a DisplayPort to HDMI cable! Those can handle the 4K at 120Hz, especially if your graphics card supports it. Just make sure to check the specifications to ensure it’s compatible with VRR though.

Also, since my GPU has DisplayPort 2.1, I was wondering if using a DisplayPort 2.1 to HDMI cable would work? Do you think I'd need an active cable for that?
