I've got an HP laptop that I bought about two years ago, and it has really slowed down. It struggles with even simple tasks like opening browsers or apps, and connecting to WiFi is a hassle too. The WiFi works great on my other devices, so I'm pretty sure the issue lies with the laptop itself. I've tried updating it, performing a complete reset, cleaning the inside with compressed air, and updating the drivers, but while some of those helped slightly, none have resolved the main issue. It's become almost impossible to use, and if I can't fix it soon, I'm thinking of getting rid of it.

Laptops can be tricky! Make sure your laptop is plugged in, as that sometimes helps with performance. I recommend using a program like HWinfo to check the temperatures. If your CPU is overheating, it could be thermal throttling. In that case, consider reapplying thermal paste if you're comfortable with that. Also, check how much RAM you have. If your RAM is low, especially on Windows 11, that could be the main issue since Windows 11 uses quite a bit of RAM. Ideally, you should have at least 12GB for it.
