What should I do if my charger got bent after my laptop fell?

I have an HP laptop and I accidentally dropped my bag while carrying it, which caused my charger to bend. The laptop itself is fine, but now the charger won't fully insert into the laptop; it only goes about 70% in but still manages to charge. The model of my charger is HP Part #710412-001, and I'm unsure how to approach this situation—should I try to fix it or just buy a new one?

Honestly, if it seems to work fine for now, you might just want to keep using it. But if you're worried about potential hazards, getting a new one is probably the safest bet.

If it still charges, I'd leave it as is for now. But be careful; chargers aren't usually easy to fix. A handy person could attempt to rewire it, but that might be risky unless you know what you’re doing.

If it ain't broke, don’t fix it! Just keep an eye on it while you decide on a new one.

You could definitely get a replacement. I had a similar issue with my charger before I upgraded to a more powerful one, and it made a big difference in performance!

Considering the charger is just $20 in my area, I'd recommend just replacing it. It's not worth the risk of damaging your laptop further by using a bent charger.
