I'm about to build my first gaming PC, and I'm pretty excited! I've done a lot of research using PCPartPicker and browsing various sites, and I think I've confirmed my component list. Before I finalize my purchases, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my choice of parts. Is everything balanced well for gaming performance? My budget is stretched to the max, so I want to make the right choices.
Here's what I've got for the major components:
- **CPU:** AMD RYZEN 7 9800X 3D (8-core, 16-thread, up to 5.2 GHz)
- **Motherboard:** MSI PRO B840-P WIFI (supports Ryzen 7000 series, DDR5, and PCIe 4.0)
- **GPU:** Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC (16GB GDDR6)
I'm still deciding on the RAM:
- **Option 1:** CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 16GB (2x8GB) 6000MHz
- **Option 2:** CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz
Other components include a 2TB Crucial P510 SSD, NZXT H5 Flow case, an 850W power supply, and a Noctua CPU cooler (and thermal paste).
Just to give some context, I'm using a Samsung 28" UR55 4K monitor at 60Hz.
Also, any tips on keeping this build a secret from my spouse would be appreciated! Do I need to prepare with an anti-static wrist strap? Is Amazon a good place to buy these parts?

Check out Newegg for some good deals! They're bundling the 9850x3d with RAM and motherboards right now; you might score a better price there if you check it out.
If you can swing it, I'd recommend going with the 32GB RAM kit. It gives you more future-proofing and lets you run more apps while gaming without slowing down your performance. Also, consider swapping out the CPU cooler for a Thermalright model; it might save you some cash that you can spend on a better motherboard, like the B850.

Nice find! I wish they delivered to Ireland; those bundles could save a ton!
