I'm currently using an EVGA 2070 Super with my AM4 system and I'm looking to upgrade my GPU to handle modern games better. My specs include an MSI Tomahawk x570 motherboard, a Ryzen 5 3600x CPU, a Corsair RM850 PSU, and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance 3600 DDR4 RAM. What would be a solid upgrade that won't cause any throttling issues?

If you're considering AMD, I'd suggest the RX 9060 XT with 16GB, especially if you don’t already have a 1440p monitor. It’s a strong choice that can handle modern titles well, although keep in mind most PCs have some level of bottleneck.

Just a heads up, moving to something like the RX 9070 or 9070 XT is great for performance, but you should ensure your CPU can keep up, especially at 1440p gaming. If you plan to upgrade the CPU later, it might be worth investing more in the GPU now.

For a nice balance, aim for a 3070 or 4060 if you're gaming at 1080p. If you're stepping up to 1440p, a 3080 or 4070 would be a good choice. These options should minimize any bottlenecking and provide a nice performance boost.

It really depends on your budget. The RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT (8GB) are decent and affordable options, offering around a 50-60% performance increase for about $350. If you can stretch to $450, the RX 9060 XT (16GB) is worth it, giving a better performance boost and avoiding VRAM limitations when playing newer games.
