I'm about to sell my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and since it doesn't have a microSD card slot, I'm wondering what's the best way to back up my data, especially my photos and videos. I'm considering buying a Pixel 8 Pro and want to make sure I can easily transfer my content. I'm not too concerned about transferring apps, but it wouldn't hurt if I could. Also, I know how to transfer data between two devices directly, but how do I do it when I only have one phone right now? Should I be using Samsung Cloud or a similar service? I've never used cloud storage before, so any guidance would be appreciated!

If you're looking for a reliable way to back up everything, I'd suggest using your Google account. If you enable backup, it automatically saves all your photos and videos. You can also use Google Drive for any documents, although it sounds like you don’t have many on your phone. Just make sure to reset your S22 before selling it, and when you log into your Google account on your new phone, it will prompt you to restore your apps and files!
What do you mean by enabling backup? I want to make sure all my photos get saved, so how exactly do I do that?
