Tips for Upgrading My PC

Hey everyone! I'm new to PC building and usually just purchase pre-built gaming PCs. However, I'm looking to upgrade my current setup myself. My PC is about 5.5 years old and has the following specs:

- Intel i7-9700k at 3.60 GHz
- 32 GB Corsair RAM at 2133 MHz
- 500 GB SSD for Windows and a 3 TB HDD for storage/games
- Windows 10
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 with 8 GB VRAM

I'm considering a few upgrades like going for a fresh install of Windows 11, adding a new SSD for games and storage, and possibly upgrading to an MSI GeForce RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC with 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM.

Do you think these upgrades make sense? Is there anything else I should consider changing?

That really depends on what you’re using your PC for. If it’s mostly gaming, the RX 9070 (non-xt) would offer extra VRAM, which can help. But if you do a lot of productivity stuff or use DLSS, sticking with Nvidia might be smart. That new SSD will make a noticeable difference in loading games.

Upgrading to an RX 9070 could be a solid choice, but keep in mind your CPU might hold back performance. If you're mostly gaming, you might want to consider upgrading that as well for better overall performance.
